Title: Cowork session hangs silently after 2nd prompt — no error in logs, VM stays Running Environment:
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Windows 11 Home (CoreSingleLanguage, build 22631) CPU: Intel Core i3-1115G4 @ 3.00GHz — 2 cores / 4 threads RAM: 8GB Claude Desktop (latest) What's wrong: Cowork completes the first prompt normally, but hangs indefinitely on the second prompt ("Trabalhando nisso..." forever). The pause button is unresponsive. Opening a new Cowork chat also hangs on the second prompt. What the logs show: cowork-service.log: VM connects successfully every time, State: Running, no errors coworkd log: only shows "SDK binary already installed, skipping" — no task execution logged Claude\logs\ folder: empty — Claude Code process never generates logs inside the VM The hang is silent. No error, no timeout, no crash — the process simply never starts executing inside the VM. Additional context: numproc 1 was previously set in bcdedit (now removed) Docker was previously installed and removed Stop-Service CoworkVMService / Start-Service CoworkVMService resets the service but doesn't unblock existing chats
