[BUG] Claude Code process exited with code 134

What's Wrong?

Suddenly this alert started appearing in all the project session chats in Claude Desktop App, running in MacOS 12.7.6. App Version Claude 1.40609.1 (69aac0) 2026-08-30T23:12:49.000Z

I am able to use Claude via VSCode Extension. Where it is able to retrieve the old conversations and execute them without any problem. But in the Claude Desktop App under Claude Code Tab, it is not organised project-wise in the sidebar, as it was before. If I initiate any conversation from the VSCode, then in the Claude Desktop, it is organised Other section in sidebar.

What Should Happen?

It is definitely a bug, and not an OS related issue, because claude code is working. Therefore it be should not be marked as duplicate by the Github Actions but considered to be fixed. As proof: Claude Code is working fine on the older machine, it's just the interface needs an update.

Steps to Reproduce

Just open any chat conversation in Claude Desktop App Claude 1.40609.1 (69aac0) 2026-08-30T23:12:49.000Z and under the Claude Code Tab, start the conversation, it reports the error to update OS.
