[BUG] Permission mode selector not shown in the iOS composer during an active Code session
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
On the Claude iOS app, the composer for a Code session shows the model selector (Opus 5) but no permission mode selector. The documented behaviour is that a mode dropdown is available on mobile — cloud sessions offering Accept edits / Plan / Auto, Remote Control sessions offering Manual — but no such control is present in the composer.
Observed with a task in flight: the composer collapses to Add feedback… with a + button, the model selector, mic, and stop button. There is no mode control in that row or behind the +.
Impact
Mode is not visible or changeable from mobile, so there is no way to tell which mode a session is in or to switch (e.g. into Plan for read-only analysis) without going back to the host machine. That defeats the point of steering a session from a phone.
Environment
Claude iOS app version: v1.260828,1 (33349478298)
Max Plan
What Should Happen?
A permission mode selector is reachable from the composer, showing the modes documented for this session type.
Actual
Only the model selector is present. Permission mode cannot be viewed or changed from the app.
