[BUG] Cannot log in to Claude Code in VS Code — verification emails never delivered

What's Wrong?

What's wrong

I cannot log in to Claude Code in Visual Studio Code. The login flow asks for an email verification code, but the verification email is never delivered to my account address. This happens consistently — every attempt, over multiple days.

What I've already ruled out

• Checked spam, junk, and all inbox tabs; searched globally for the sender
• Checked the quarantine for my mail box - it's not there
• Confirmed the email address is entered correctly (no typo)
• Waited between attempts rather than repeatedly hitting resend
• Other mail to this address arrives normally
• My IT has added @mail.anthropic.com to the white list.

No verification email arrives at all — not delayed, not misfiled.

What I think is happening

I suspect my address is on the transactional email suppression list, so verification emails are being dropped before they leave Anthropic's side. Could someone check and clear it if so?

Account verification

I'm still signed in via the Claude app, so I can confirm account ownership through that active session. I'd prefer not to post my email address publicly — happy to provide it through any private channel.

What Should Happen?

I should receive and email that allows me to either authorize login or that provides a code to type back into VSCode

Steps to Reproduce

1. Use Claude code extension in VS Code for weeks
2. Wait for claude to require re-authentication
3. Click the Use Claude subscription button
4. Following the link or paste in browser
5. Click continue to login
6. Enter anthropic account email ( we have a team account at our company)
7. See that claude says it has sent a verification email to my email address
8. Wait forever, it never comes.
