[BUG] Cannot log in to Claude code nor VSCode extension

What's Wrong?

When I try to authorize claude code for my subscription, in the web browser below:

I click on Authorize, the, I get the request of signing in again:

When I sign in again, I get to the first screen that asks me to authorize, and if I click again it asks me to sign in again, and so on.

I never get to log in neither claude code nor the VSCode extension, with the exact same problem.

I am on an Ubuntu 26.04 machine. The extension and claude worked just fine until two days ago.

What Should Happen?

Claude should be able to log in but in the browser, it eneters an infinite loop of authorize -> sign in again -> authorize -> ...

Error Messages/Logs

No stack traces, I never get out of the web browser log in screen, as described above.

Steps to Reproduce

In the terminal I type claude login, then I get to the web browser screen depicted above.
