Recurring ECONNRESET during active sessions, exhausting all 10 retry attempts

Repeated Connection dropped (ECONNRESET) errors during active Claude Code sessions,
happening across multiple chats/sessions, not isolated to one instance. Retries
frequently run through all 10 attempts before failing.

• claude --version: 2.1.233 (Claude Code)
• OS: macOS (Darwin 25.5.0)
• Frequency: happening in nearly every chat session, including mid-conversation
• Network: standard home wifi, no VPN/proxy configured, no proxy env vars set,

no firewall software (Little Snitch/LuLu) running

• Basic connectivity to api.anthropic.com is otherwise healthy (curl succeeds,

no packet loss on ping/traceroute)

This is severely disruptive — losing work mid-session repeatedly.
