[Feature Request] Distinguish User Code Edits from Automated Changes
Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Sep 30, 2025 by camysidron1 Closed Oct 4, 2025
Bug Description
I had an interesting experience where I was editing a file as claude was running. We had an API base url constant set up and I simply removed the trailing slash from the constant to make it clearer everywhere that it was used. Claude noticed that and said "the linter removed the trailing slash" - I think it could be helpful to provide context as to whether the user made the code change versus a linter/save action making the change. User changes should be treated with higher authority and I've noticed sometimes claude would continue and essentially revert the change I just made.
