[BUG] Claude Code (web) stuck spinning indefinitely, no response, no error

What's Wrong?

A Claude Code session on claude.ai/code gets stuck showing the processing indicator (pulsing asterisk icon) indefinitely, with no response ever returned and no error message shown. Token/tool usage does not appear to progress. Sending a new follow-up message does not unstick it. Reloading the browser tab and reopening the same session does not resolve it either — the session still shows as "in progress" / spinning.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code should either complete and return a response, or fail gracefully with a visible error/timeout message — instead of spinning indefinitely with no feedback.

Open a Claude Code session at https://claude.ai/code
