Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
The Code tab opens but gets stuck on an infinite loading screen.
The Claude icon spins indefinitely and nothing loads.
The chat area remains completely blank.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open Claude Desktop app
- Click on the "Code" tab
- Create a new session
- The screen stays blank with the loading spinner forever
What I've Already Tried
- Restarted the app multiple times
- Deleted %LOCALAPPDATA%\AnthropicClaude and %APPDATA%\Claude folders
- Reinstalled the app from claude.ai/download
- Checked internet connection
- CLI working, only desktop version not working
Environment
- OS: Windows 11
- Claude Desktop version: (check in the app title bar or about screen)
- Plan: Pro
Expected Behavior
The Code tab should load and allow me to start a coding session.
Actual Behavior
Infinite loading spinner. Nothing loads.
What Should Happen?
The Code tab should load successfully and display an active session where I can type commands, interact with Claude, and work on local projects. The interface should be fully responsive with no loading spinners after initialization.
