[BUG] Claude Code double-Escape to clear prompt causes CLI to hang on macOS

What's Wrong?

Double-Escape to clear a Prompt causes Claude Code to freeze.

What Should Happen?

Claude should clear prompt when pressing Double-Escape.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Type a prompt in Claude Code in VS Code
2. Press Esc twice to clear the prompt
3. Claude Code freezes and can be exited only by pressing Ctrl+C
