[BUG] IDE plugin not connected (see /status for info) On win10

What's Wrong?

Title: WebStorm Unable to Connect to Claude on Windows 10 22H2 (19045.5608)

Description:

I am experiencing connection issues between WebStorm and Claude on my Windows 10 22H2 system (build 19045.5608). This is a standard Windows installation, not WSL.

I have installed the IDE plugin and launched Claude through the plugin, but upon opening, there is no connection process. Instead, I immediately receive the error message: "IDE plugin not connected (see /status for info)".

I have tried various troubleshooting methods including:
• Downgrading/upgrading the IDE versions

• Other suggested solutions

None of these attempts have been successful. The same issue also occurs with the VS Code plugin.

Important note: Claude works perfectly fine and connects successfully to the IDE on both my Windows 11 and macOS 15 systems.

What Should Happen?

The terminal shows the status changing from:
◯ IDE disconnected
to
◯ IDE connected
It can then recognize the opened files and selected lines.
