Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

See prior issues:
https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/50601
https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/64560

I'm submitting a new bug per directions from both of the above that said:
Closing for now — inactive for too long. Please [open a new issue](https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/new/choose) if this is still relevant.

It's still relevant, frustrating, and additionally frustrating that these are auto-closed due to being stale -- staleness doesn't mean it went away.

What Should Happen?

Clicking and dragging in any region where there isn't/text icon in the top portion of the dialog lets me reposition the window.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

Open Claude desktop app
Make the window fairly large
Try to drag the window from the upper right half of the menu bar.
It moves the window as expected.

Try to drag the window from the Upper Left half (including the bit of empty space above the current chat name)
BUG: Window doesn't move.
EXPECTED: Window moves as before.
