[BUG] no repos match

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

My GitHub repositories do not appear in the Claude Code repository picker.
The search shows "No repos match" for every search term.

I've already tried:

  • Fully uninstalling the Claude GitHub App from github.com/settings/installations
  • Reinstalling it fresh from github.com/apps/claude/installations/new with "All repositories" access
  • Confirming the GitHub connector shows "Connected" in Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the GitHub connector
  • Installing GitHub Desktop as an additional troubleshooting step

None of the above resolved the issue.

What should happen:
All repositories the Claude GitHub App has been granted access to should appear
in the repository picker.

What actually happens:
The picker shows "No repos match" regardless of search term.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to claude.ai/code
  2. Click "+ Select repo..."
  3. Search for any repository name
  4. Result: "No repos match"

My setup:

  • GitHub username: [your GitHub username]
  • Claude plan: [Free / Pro / Team / Enterprise]
  • Repository access set to: All repositories
  • GitHub connector status in Claude.ai settings: Connected
  • Platform: [web (claude.ai/code) / CLI / VS Code extension / mobile]
  • OS: [Windows / macOS / Linux]

This appears to be a backend repository index issue on Anthropic's side rather
than a permissions problem, based on similar reports (#57161, #60493, #66244,
#72119, #75233). Could someone trigger a backend repository index reset for my
GitHub account?
Just replace the 4 bracketed lines with your actual details before submitting.

What Should Happen?

I want to generate a video and resolve the problem permanently
