Usage credits indicator always shows $ (USD) even when account is billed in a different currency (e.g. BRL)

Description
The usage/credits indicator in the bottom-right corner of the UI (next to the effort/reasoning selector) always displays the amount with a $ (USD) symbol, even when the account is billed in a different currency (e.g. Brazilian Real, BRL). This is confusing since the displayed value does not match the currency actually charged to the account.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Use an account billed in a non-USD currency (e.g. BRL)
  2. Open Claude Code
  3. Click the usage/credits indicator in the bottom-right corner, next to the effort/reasoning selector
  4. Observe the amount shown with a $ symbol

Expected behavior
The currency symbol shown should match the account's actual billing currency (e.g. R$ for BRL).

Actual behavior
The $ symbol is shown regardless of the account's billing currency.

Environment

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Claude Code version: 2.1.204
