Description
The usage/credits indicator in the bottom-right corner of the UI (next to the effort/reasoning selector) always displays the amount with a $ (USD) symbol, even when the account is billed in a different currency (e.g. Brazilian Real, BRL). This is confusing since the displayed value does not match the currency actually charged to the account.
Steps to reproduce
- Use an account billed in a non-USD currency (e.g. BRL)
- Open Claude Code
- Click the usage/credits indicator in the bottom-right corner, next to the effort/reasoning selector
- Observe the amount shown with a
$symbol
Expected behavior
The currency symbol shown should match the account's actual billing currency (e.g. R$ for BRL).
Actual behavior
The $ symbol is shown regardless of the account's billing currency.
Environment
- OS: Windows 11
- Claude Code version: 2.1.204
