What's Wrong?
I am getting 5 hour limit usage limitations when using claude for significantly less than 5 hours, this morning it was 2 hours.
I am running in a linux terminal on an ubuntu machine
Description: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Release: 24.04
Codename: noble
What Should Happen?
claude should only give me this warning after 5 actual hours of use. The timer should not progress if claude is not running, or is idle, and especially not 3 hours early even under use.

Same issue for me
I now get this EVERY 3 hours.
Also experiencing this. Just signed up for Pro. My time expired in less 1.5 hours.
If there are other factors that determine usage limits (such as token limits), Anthropic should call them out clearly. It should also offer ways and suggestions to optimise usage.
same here, the chat bot says it calculates is based on a whole list of metrics, which equates to basically stealing resources from paid subscribers under a 5 hour marketing gimic. This is exactly the same scam that door dash was doing with guaranteed pay outs, but would steal from tips in low periods.
I got this in about an hour today, doing nothing unusual. This is the first time I ever hit the limit in 3 months of use.
It is 9.22 am and says it resets at 13:00 ! So my first query was at 8am

Same.. MAX x5 Plan and usually I code whole day not reaching limits, just at the end of the weeks, but today I reached my whole 5 hours limits twice after 1.5 hours of prompting... I don't know what's going on..
First window I used OPUS more, but next session I switched to sonnet to let me work longer.
I cannot work like that.
