What's Wrong?
I opened claude, sent one message and get several Api errors and then it quickly says I have maxed out usage. I have the Max plan, it;s impossible a single message would have maxed out the 5 hour limit, given I have not used Claude on any devide since yesterday. I added some credit and then asked Claude Code itself to find any traces of heavy usage, but it said it did not. And yet the usage limit is still there.
What Should Happen?
Limit should reflect actual usage

Had the exact same issue, woke up to 96% session usage despite me turning memory off on a Max x5 plan, weekly usage jumped 33% overnight, seems to be a widespread issue going on right now so we can only hope for acknowledgement and a reset soon.
I've just faced this issue! This is clearly a bug on Claude/Anthropic's side.
