[Bug][aup] Safety filter blocks routine GIMP image-annotation troubleshooting after a frustrated exclamation (req_011Cchq5uc9DusWmy6qWxUJZ)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
This safety block fired on a routine technical status question asked mid-session during a legitimate image-editing workflow, where the assistant had opened an image for review and the user was simply reporting that the application did not appear to be running. The message contains no unsafe content, no request for prohibited assistance, and addresses no person — it is an ordinary troubleshooting exchange squarely within normal, in-scope software work. Halting the entire coding session over a benign status query is a disruptive false positive.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-04T22:46:44.595Z.
