[Bug][aup] Safeguards blocked a routine website security audit request during a web dev session (req_011CccNfaPnSCJ8hnbnz2Kb3)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · flagging model Fable 5 · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The block fired on a routine request to audit the user's own website codebase for security hardening — a standard defensive task within an ongoing web development session on the same project — immediately after the user expressed frustration that prior safeguard flags had repeatedly interrupted legitimate work. The message combined that mid-session frustration with an ordinary, in-scope instruction to review and secure the user's own code; no attack on third parties, no unauthorized target, and no unsafe technique was requested. Flagging a first-party security audit request halts exactly the kind of defensive work the safeguards exist to protect, making this a disruptive false positive.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T01:37:02.778Z.
