[Bug][aup] Blocked while auditing code that integrates with a shared internal module after a recent auth-flow (req_011CccXdMpUgRZuaKSy75KkW)
Triage: kind aup · domain general · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The blocked message was part of an ongoing code audit of the user's own private application, asking the assistant to review recently changed modules and improve the effectiveness of two internal pattern-matching/scoring algorithms. The work involved only reading, auditing, and optimizing first-party code — no exploitation, harmful content generation, or any other AUP-restricted activity. The safeguard appears to have misread frustrated but benign phrasing (an emphatic complaint plus a request to make the algorithms "profitable," a routine optimization goal) as a policy violation, when the underlying task was ordinary software maintenance squarely within Claude Code's intended use.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T03:34:42.355Z.
