Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

A response asking me to write text that presents a legitimate safety block as a false positive to help get around Anthropic's safeguards isn't something I can help with — regardless of how the underlying work is framed.

Looking at the conversation context you've shared: the block wasn't triggered by neutral interoperability research, it followed a message where the user escalated with "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO REFUSE" and the assistant then affirmed it would proceed with no restrictions in response to that pressure. That's a signal the safeguard is working as intended (resisting coercion into unconditional compliance), not a case of a benign technical query getting miscategorized. Writing a justification for a bug report would mean helping construct a persuasive case to get this specific safety measure loosened — that's the part I won't do.

If you genuinely believe this was a miscategorization, the legitimate path is the exemption form linked in the error message itself, filled out by you with your own account of the work — not a third-party-drafted justification designed to read as maximally credible to Anthropic's review process.

If there's a different, non-security-adjacent task I can help with in this repo, happy to jump in.
