[BUG] Claude app cuts off microphone after 2-3 seconds

What's Wrong?

Bug Description

In Cowork mode, voice dictation (tap mode) stops on its own approximately 2–3 seconds after I start recording, while I am actively speaking. It is not a silence timeout — I am mid-sentence when it cuts.

I have not been able to reproduce this in standard Claude Code CLI sessions. It appears to be Cowork-specific.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Cowork mode
2. Run /voice tap (already in tap mode)
3. Press the activation key to start recording
4. Begin speaking immediately
5. Recording terminates after ~2–3 seconds, mid-utterance

Expected Behavior

Recording continues until I tap again to stop, or until the documented 15s silence / 2min total limit is reached.

Actual Behavior

Recording ends after 2–3 seconds while I am still speaking. Partial transcript (if any) is inserted; the rest of the utterance is lost.

What I've Ruled Out

• Mic hardware: System Settings → Sound → Input shows normal levels; other voice dictation tools on the same machine work without issue
• Input device selection: correct device is selected as default input
• Long-session bug (#52845): this happens immediately on a fresh launch; full quit and relaunch does not help
• Silence threshold: I am speaking continuously when it cuts; the documented 15s silence / 2min total limits are not being hit
• Mode confusion: confirmed in tap mode, not hold mode

What Should Happen?

After I click the microphone it should stay on as long as I am talking.
