You took my money without providing a service.

My experience:

  • Signs up for Claude API, pays $20 for usage credits
  • npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
  • claude
  • "Light mode, thank you"
  • Sign in
  • "Anthropic has paused sign ups to provide the best possible service to customers."
  • Bro, I created an account and paid money; how TF is that not "signed up"?

Give me my money back, and stick something in your docs about "paused sign ups" whenever you feel like not tricking people.

You can reuse your credits when this is public, you didn't lose the money but yes a better message about this might be better :)

Says it quite clearly in the documentation:

And when you visit the console page for code:

Sorry for the poor experience -- it sounds like we flipped on the waitlist mid-signup. We'd be more than happy to refund you, or if you can wait a few days, we will be taking folks off the waitlist soon (and it sounds like you're near the top). If you want a refund, please feel free to file /bug and post the feedback ID here so I can grab your account ID.

I have like my pro plan already with the claud.ai chat so isn't claude code be available to pro users using the same account why I need to add credits to use claude code !!! A bit confusing

@akdgamer
Claude code works with Claude API, and you need credits to access Claude API service even if you are a Pro user
