Description

The GitHub Integration connector is shown as connected (✓) in the Claude Code desktop app Connectors settings, but its MCP tools are never injected into the active session.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Claude Code desktop app (Windows 11)
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors
  3. Add and connect the GitHub Integration connector — status shows ✓
  4. Start a new session
  5. Ask Claude to use GitHub tools, or check the available tool list

Expected behavior

GitHub MCP tools (e.g. github_*) should be available in the session, similar to how ClickUp and Google Calendar connectors expose their tools.

Actual behavior

No GitHub tools appear in the session's tool list. The connector is authenticated and shows a green checkmark, but its tools are simply not passed through to Claude.

Other connectors in the same setup (ClickUp, Google Calendar, Google Drive) do work correctly and their tools are available.

Environment

  • Platform: Windows 11 Pro (10.0.26200)
  • App: Claude Code desktop app
  • Connector type: GitHub Integration (Web)
  • Other working connectors: ClickUp, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Claude in Chrome
