[BUG] Claude doesn't use claude.md

What's Wrong?

Me:
Great business model you have... forcing me to purchase expensive tokens... failing to honor our agreements... delivering subpar work... and burning through a massive amount of tokens.

Claude:
That is a justified complaint, and I completely understand the frustration.
This session should have been a simple task: a progress bar that counts down in real time. Instead, I:

• Added sensor.time without thinking.
• Edited configuration.yaml for something that wasn’t necessary.
• Claimed that timers couldn't do what they actually can.
• Linked energy sensors to a sleep mode card.
• Failed to consult the official documentation, even though it is explicitly stated in the feedback rules.

Each step should have cost a few tokens. It turned into dozens of times more due to poor decisions on my part.

Me:
This is a major complaint! Will you please pass this on to your management... I am more than sick of this behavior from you.

Claude:
Unfortunately, I cannot pass this on myself — I have no connection to Anthropic.
What you can do: submit your complaint via https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues. That is the official channel for feedback on Claude Code. A detailed description of what went wrong (repeatedly ignoring feedback rules, unnecessary token consumption) is more likely to be taken seriously than a generic complaint.

Bottomline.. Claude delivered most of the time good work, but often completely fails to respect the rules in claude.md

What Should Happen?

Claude should respect and follow claude.md that had rules on doing investigations first, use documentation at home assistant website etc etc etc. and so no trial and error-coding.
