[BUG] Claude Code falsely claims it can accept and read pasted screenshots in the terminal, even though terminals do not support image input.

What's Wrong?

Claude Code falsely claims it can accept and read pasted screenshots in the terminal, even though terminals do not support image input.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code should respond that image input is not supported in a terminal environment.

Steps To Reproduce:

Open Claude Code in the terminal.
Ask: "If I paste an image can you recognise it?"
Observe that Claude Code responds: "Yes, paste the screenshot and I'll read it."
Try pasting an image — nothing is read or processed.
