Bug Report

Environment:

  • Mac: Claude Code desktop app
  • iPhone: Claude Code iOS app
  • Both devices signed into the same Claude account
  • Mac not behind VPN

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Enable Settings → Claude Code → "Enable remote control by default" in the Mac desktop app
  2. Start a new session on Mac
  3. Open Claude Code app on iPhone (same account)
  4. iPhone shows "No sessions found"

Expected behavior:
New Mac sessions should automatically appear as connectable in the iPhone app when "Enable remote control by default" is ON.

Actual behavior:
No sessions appear on iPhone. The feature does not work.

What was tried:

  • Confirmed same account on both devices
  • Started a fresh new session (not a pre-existing one)
  • No VPN or known firewall
  • /web-setup command returns "not available in this environment" in the desktop app
  • claude.ai/code in browser also prompted for /web-setup which could not be run
