[BUG] API Error: Unable to connect to API (ECONNRESET)

What's Wrong?

happens on almost every message. sometimes with no context window usage, but very common once i hit 20%

so weird. no issues previously. internet connection is perfectly fine and normal. ive been a claude code user for months and months and never had this issue before. and over the last 7-10 days this has been greatly disrupting my workflow. ive had to sign up to the disgusting openai codex in order to continue my work (which pains me greatly)

but seriously, you guys need to figure this the fuck out because it's incredibly annoying and whenever i try to debug it's always just "issues server side" and yet not too many others seem to be experiencing it???

1. open terminal
2. open claude
3. try to use claude
4. fail
5. get frustrated
6. check claude status
7. apparently nothing is wrong
8. check claude reddit
9. nothing is wrong
10. post about it on github claude issues
11. receive some comments from other people experiencing the same issue
12. opus 4.8 releases
13. "oh maybe this changes things and it will be fine now"
14. repeat step 1-10
