[BUG] Terminal display corrupted with garbled characters throughout every single session (on v2.1.152)

What's Wrong?

I'm still getting this Issue even thought it's been marked closed: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/59539 (CC Terminal display corrupted with garbled characters throughout every single session)

I'm running v. v2.1.152 on Mac

I get when running on local and ssh on vm's, using windsurf as main housing to manage terminals.

What Should Happen?

terminal screen should remain readable throughout session

start session
run for a while (can be as quick as 30min)
screen degrades, chars jumble
