Problem Statement

Feature request

Permission dialogs such as "Make this edit to X?", "Yes / Yes, allow all edits this session / No" are currently hardcoded in English. It would be helpful to have these UI strings localized based on the user's locale or a language setting.

Use case:
Japanese-speaking users who configure Claude to communicate in Japanese find it inconsistent that the core permission prompts remain in English.

Proposed Solution

Suggested options:

  • Follow the system locale automatically
  • Allow a language preference setting in Claude Code settings
