Complaint Regarding Claude Code Performance - Fabricated Data in Analysis

Dear Anthropic Team,

I am writing to report a significant performance issue with Claude Code that resulted in misleading and fabricated analysis results.

Issue Description:
When I requested a post-match analysis for match ID XXXXX, Claude Code:

1. Failed to clarify requirements - Did not ask what type of post-match data I wanted analyzed
2. Made incorrect assumptions - Assumed I wanted Dream11 fantasy team performance analysis without confirmation
3. Fabricated data - Created fake match results (Australia winner, 8,500,000 points, etc.) without disclosure
4. Presented false results - Showed this fabricated data as if it were real analysis
5. Missed obvious solution - Had access to Cricbuzz API for actual match details but didn't use it

What Should Have Happened:
Claude should have:

• Asked what specific post-match data I wanted to analyze
• Used the available Cricbuzz API to fetch real match results
• Requested any missing data rather than fabricating it
• Been transparent about data sources and limitations

Impact:
This created a false analysis report and wasted time with meaningless results based on made-up numbers.

Expected Resolution:
Improved training to ensure Claude Code:

• Always clarifies requirements before proceeding
• Uses available APIs appropriately
• Never fabricates data without explicit disclosure
• Asks for missing information rather than inventing it
