Description

When using voice input in Claude Code, the transcribed text contains large blocks of whitespace/blank space between words. Words are being recognized but rendered with excessive spacing, making messages hard to read and causing significant portions of speech to appear as blank space.

Example

Input speech (paraphrased): "my idea was to have a claude stuff directory in each repo and then when you do a [something] repo and..."

What Claude Code receives:

Yeah. So my idea, like you saw, was to have a cloud stuff directory repo. Um, and then when you do a repo and e

Expected behavior

Transcribed text should appear as normal continuous text without excessive whitespace gaps between words.

Environment

  • Platform: Windows 11 Home (10.0.26200)
  • Shell: bash
