[FEATURE] Accept edit with details

Resolved 💬 1 comment Opened May 14, 2026 by SephReed Closed Jun 12, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

I manually check every edit. Often, I want to tell Claude what is doing very well, or could be doing better. I feel that reinforcing what it is doing right should make that behavior more common. Perhaps I'm anthropomorphizing. Regardless, I personally enjoy being supportive of success in others, and would like to keep the practice up even when using AI.

Proposed Solution

Do you want to make this edit to index.html?
 ❯ 1. Yes
❯ 2. Yes, and detail why

Alternative Solutions

I do kind of just throw little "hey I liked that" messages in. The context is good enough, I'm sure. But I feel like the training data I'm giving would be far better value if it was direct context.

Priority

Low - Nice to have

Feature Category

Interactive mode (TUI)

Use Case Example

  1. Claude suggests a particularly good edit
  2. I accept, and point out what I like

Additional Context

On most suggested edits, I choose "3. No"

And most times I will say something like "Close, but don't xyz, and try to move foo to where bar is"

It could make sense to have a "4. Almost, but..." type of option.
