[Bug] UI freezes and blurs when selecting GitHub repository items

Bug Description
Issue: Screen becomes blurred and unresponsive when selecting GitHub items in workspace
Details:
Occurs in both Claude Code Desktop (macOS) and web interface (claude.ai)
Happens specifically when choosing "GitHub > Select item from repo"
Affects even single markdown files in the root directory
Screen blurs and becomes completely unresponsive
Persists after restarting both applications
Standard troubleshooting (clearing cache, disabling extensions, signing out/in) hasn't resolved it

Environment:
macOS (desktop app)
Web browser (claude.ai)
Attempting to select a single markdown file from GitHub repo root
