What's Wrong?
Reopening [[BUG] Claude Code Desktop: "Could not load Connectors Directory"](https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/28218#top). I'm getting this issue repeatedly in Claude Desktop (Mac).
What Should Happen?
Not to see the yellow box that says, "Could not load connectors directory."

This is only a duplicate because you don't fix the issue. I didn't want to spend time filing this. The least you can do is respond to this and the others with a fix. Why don't you just _vibe code it_?
I've just hit it today after updating Claude to the latest version (Claude 1.6608.2 (ebf1a1) 2026-05-08T23:17:27.000Z) and macOS from 26.4.1 to 26.5.
Restarting the app doesn't help, it fails with the same message every time, the chat history doesn't load, etc.
It's clear some data is loaded - it shows my name, shows that I'm on the Max plan, it even provides summary of my past discussions in an Overview widget, but the Recents section is empty.
Same issue here: macOS, Mac Studio M2 Max, Claude Desktop 1.6608.2 (ebf1a1).
Additional finding: connectors.claude.ai does not resolve via DNS at all.
Tested with both local router DNS and Google's public DNS (8.8.8.8),
both return NXDOMAIN. This persists after full system restart.
Existing connectors (Claude in Chrome, GitHub Integration, Google Drive)
are visible in the panel, but the directory catalog fails to load.
Hi all — Tobin here, I work on MCPs and the directory. There was a incident yesterday that took down the non-load-bearing incident. Apologies for the error toasts!
