@igorkofman This is not true. If you have MCP tools that "edit" or are otherwise "destructive", then planning mode does not work as intended.

issue persists,

and I can not ask Claude Code to do ReadOnly tasks in Planning mode... as semantics is different ...
(also come up with more flexible design, where users can define own modes , that can inherit permissions from others: https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/2469#issuecomment-3151473932 )
