Open Claude Code iOS
Start a new session with a repo attached
Sandbox provisioning UI appears and never completes

Expected

Sandbox boots within typical provisioning time.

Actual

Hangs indefinitely on the sandbox setup step.

Workarounds tried

Force quit + relaunch — no change
New session vs resume — no change

Notes

Repo is healthy from a desktop CLI perspective (clone, status, log, gh repo view all clean). Suspect provisioning-side issue rather than repo-specific.

Update: ruled out a repo-side cause.

Landed a fix that soft-fails our root prepare: husky hook (husky → husky || true) on the off chance it was aborting npm install mid-provision. Merged to main, retested from iOS — still hangs on "Allocating sandbox" indefinitely.

Confirms the hang is server-side / provisioning-side, not repo-specific.

Falling back to Claude Code cloud mode from iOS for now.
