[BUG] Ghost text appears in input field unprompted (Windows PowerShell + Kali Linux)

What's Wrong?

Text appears in Claude Code's input field without me typing it. It looks like previous commands or autocomplete suggestions being inserted unprompted. Intermittent — doesn't happen every time.

What Should Happen?

Text in the input field should only contain what I typed.

Error Messages/Logs

The behavior is silent, text just appears in the input field with no indication of where it came from.

Steps to Reproduce

No consistent steps to reproduce. Occurs intermittently during normal use — typing messages or after running commands. Happens on both Windows (PowerShell) and Kali Linux terminal across multiple sessions and after running claude update.
