Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Text appears as italic preview during recording but vanishes when mic is stopped or times out — never commits to input field. Happens on two separate Windows machines simultaneously (same account). Win+H and claude.ai chat voice work fine on same machines.

Version: claude --Version 1.5354.0 (9a9e3d)

OS: Windows 11

Steps: Click mic button in Claude Code bottom toolbar → speak → watch text appear in italics → stop → text disappears

What Should Happen?

After the Italics dictation and when microphone button is released the text should stay it should not disappear
