[BUG] Claude code tab disappeared after version upgrade

What Should Happen?
Tab should be on the right.
Yes, this is a known bug. Multiple users on similar Desktop versions are reporting Code and Cowork tabs disappearing after auto-updates. Reports include full uninstall and reinstall not fixing it -- only the Chat tab visible after auto-update. Quitting, relaunching, signing out and back in, and reinstalling all fail to restore the tabs. GitHubGitHub
You're hitting a variant of this. Cowork shows for you but Code doesn't.
Things to try, in order:
Quit fully and relaunch (Cmd+Q, not just close window)
Check ~/Library/Logs/Claude/main-window.log for preload script errors:
