Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Environment: Claude Desktop for macOS, version 1.19367.
Feedback: A recent update replaced Cowork's dedicated sidebar tab with a toggle inside the message box (Chat/Cowork). I understand the intent to unify the entry point, but this has made my actual workflow harder:
- Cowork sessions are typically ongoing, project-style work that I return to and continue over time.
- Chat sessions are mostly one-off, throwaway conversations, and there are a lot of them.
- With both now living in the same place, finding a specific Cowork session buried among many temporary chats is a real pain.
Request: please restore a dedicated Cowork entry point, or at minimum provide a separate Cowork session/task list, so that ongoing Cowork work stays clearly separated from temporary chats. Thank you.
What Should Happen?
Restore the dedicated Cowork tab.

Steps to Reproduce
- Upon launching Claude, I immediately noticed that the "cowork" label is missing.
- There is no option in the app settings to customize whether the "cowork" tab is displayed or hidden.
- This makes no sense.
