[BUG] Claude Code process exited with code 1 - desktop app Local sessions

Same issue on Claude Desktop on macOS (Apple Silicon).

Symptoms:

• Crashes immediately on Local sessions with 'Claude Code process exited with code 1'
• Terminal CLI (claude v2.1.118) works perfectly with the same account
• Cloud sessions work fine
• Only Local mode in the desktop app is broken

What I tried (none fixed it):

• Manual reinstall of Claude.app
• Renamed ~/.claude/plugins aside
• Tested in a fresh folder with no spaces in the path (~/claude-test)
• Granted full disk access in Privacy & Security
• Restarted multiple times

Log excerpt (~/Library/Logs/Claude/main.log):

Bug has persisted for about a week. Happy to provide more logs or test fixes.
