## Feature Request: Automatic CLAUDE.md Reading on Session Start

### Current Behavior
When starting a new Claude Code session, I need to manually ask Claude to "check claude.md and identify next task" to continue where I left off.

### Requested Behavior
Claude should automatically read CLAUDE.md at session start and greet me with:

  • Current project status
  • Last completed milestone
  • Next priority task
  • Ready to continue immediately

### Use Case
I'm working on a multi-session project with detailed progress tracking in CLAUDE.md. Having to manually prompt Claude to read the project status breaks the flow and wastes time.

### Example Ideal Greeting
> "Welcome back! I've read CLAUDE.md - M5.1 (User Platform Preferences) is complete ✅
> Next priority: M4.1 (Update service creation flow for platform awareness)
> Ready to start implementing?"

### Benefits

  • Seamless project continuity across sessions
  • Automatic context restoration
  • Better developer experience for long-running projects

This would be a great enhancement for
project-based development workflows! 🚀
