Question: Are devcontainer configuration files covered by the same license as the repository?

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Aug 8, 2025 by toku-sa-n Closed Jan 6, 2026

I would like to use the devcontainer configuration files from this repository (.devcontainer/ directory), but I want to make sure I understand the licensing correctly.

The repository contains:

  • .devcontainer/devcontainer.json
  • .devcontainer/Dockerfile
  • .devcontainer/init-firewall.sh

The LICENSE.md file states:
> © Anthropic PBC. All rights reserved. Use is subject to Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service.

Are these devcontainer configuration files also covered by this same license and Commercial Terms of Service?

I couldn't find any separate license information for these files specifically, so I wanted to confirm before using them.

Thank you for the clarification!
