[BUG] Stop begging me to upgrade every 5 seconds it's HIGHLY ANNOYING

Resolved 💬 1 comment Opened Apr 25, 2026 by groovydr Closed May 29, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

i'm paying for pro/max. after around 30% usage it pops a big screen above the chat window and says im close to usage limit and need to upgrade. even though im not even close.

i'm literally paying you guys $400/month stop the in-your-face popups that cannot be turned off. it's highly offensive.

and it's obvious that you're not actually worried about people who are going to extra usage, it's more like i bet you're seeing higher conversion rates as you annoy people.

What Should Happen?

leave me alone. let the user pick their own warning when their weekly limits are at x%
