[BUG] Claude Code Desktop GUI - exit code 1 on every session (Pro plan, Mac)

What's Wrong?

Claude Code Desktop GUI app shows "Claude Code process exited with code 1" immediately on every new session. No output or error details are shown.

What Should Happen?

Sessions should start normally and accept user input.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude Code Desktop app
2. Click "New session"
3. Type any message and press Enter
4. "Claude Code process exited with code 1" appears immediately

• Terminal version works fine
• claude auth status shows: logged in, Pro plan
• claude doctor shows no issues
• Reinstalled app, issue persists
• Two "Default" cloud environments appear in environment selector
