[BUG] Close button in Image Preview gets covered by window close button

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Apr 23, 2026 by justinswork Closed Jun 5, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When the user goes to click the "X" button on an image preview, the "X" button with the red background to close the window pops up over the image preview button, causing the user to accidentally close the window, instead of the image preview.

<img width="735" height="450" alt="Image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/2df9dbc5-0062-42aa-9527-44bc61a49535" />

What Should Happen?

A) The user should be able to click anywhere around the image to close the preview, as is standard behavior.
B) The close button should not be in the top corner, or it should not get covered by the button to close the window
