/model picker shows 'Opus 4.7' but sets 'Opus 4.6'

Bug

The \/model\ picker UI labels both Opus options as Opus 4.7, but selecting either one results in the confirmation message saying "Set model to Opus 4.6" (or "Kept model as Opus 4.6").

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run \/model\ in Claude Code
  2. Observe the picker shows:
  • Opus (1M context) — "Opus 4.7 with 1M context · Most capable for complex work · \$5/\$25 per Mtok"
  • Opus ✔ — "Opus 4.7 · Most capable for complex work"
  1. Select either Opus option
  2. Confirmation output says "Set model to Opus 4.6"

Expected behavior

The model name should be consistent between the picker UI and the confirmation output. Either both should say 4.6 or both should say 4.7.

Environment

  • Claude Code CLI (macOS)
  • Date: 2026-04-20
