Title: Cowork tab completely missing from sidebar after April 14 redesign (Windows 11, v1.3109.0.0)

Description:

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro x64, Build 25H2
  • Claude Desktop: v1.3109.0.0
  • Plan: Pro (paid)
  • Virtualization: Hyper-V + Virtual Machine Platform enabled

Issue:
After updating to v1.3109.0.0 on April 19, 2026, the Cowork tab is completely absent from the sidebar. Other tabs appear (Code, Design, Chat) but Cowork does not.

Sidebar shows: New chat, Search, Customize, Chats, Projects, Artifacts, Code, Design
Missing: Cowork (should appear as main sidebar item per docs)

Steps taken (all unsuccessful):

  • Full uninstall + cache deletion + reinstall
  • System restart
  • CoworkVMService verified running
  • Verified Pro plan is active
