[BUG] Code mode crashes silently on Windows after v1.3109.0 update

What's Wrong?

Claude Desktop's Code mode crashes silently 2-3 seconds after clicking it.
Chat and Cowork modes work normally — the issue is isolated to Code mode.

No visible error message appears (silent crash). This differs from the
macOS BuddyBleTransport error reported in #48281, which was reportedly
fixed in v1.3109.0 — but the Windows case still crashes on this same version.

What Should Happen?

Code mode should open and remain functional, like Chat and Cowork modes do.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude Desktop (v1.3109.0) on Windows
2. Click on Code mode in the sidebar
3. The Code mode window crashes silently within 2-3 seconds
4. No error message is shown

Note: Chat and Cowork modes work normally — only Code mode is affected.

Already tried (no effect):

• Fully quit and restarted Claude Desktop
• Uninstalled and reinstalled Claude Desktop
• Restarted the computer

Context — This bug is about Claude Desktop app, not Claude Code CLI

• Claude Desktop version: 1.3109.0 (build 35cbf6) — confirmed latest via Help → About Claude
• Claude Code CLI version: 2.1.110 (filled above, but this bug is NOT about the CLI)
• Symptom: Clicking "Code" mode in Claude Desktop crashes the window silently

in 2-3 seconds. Chat and Cowork modes work fine.

• No visible error message (differs from macOS BuddyBleTransport error in #48281)

Related

• #48281 — original BuddyBleTransport crash on macOS, reportedly fixed in

Claude Desktop v1.3109.0. Windows users still experience a crash on this
same "fixed" version (possibly a separate bug or an incomplete fix).

Troubleshooting already attempted

• Fully quit and restarted Claude Desktop
• Uninstalled and reinstalled Claude Desktop
• Restarted the computer

None resolved the crash.
