[Bug] Cmd+Delete clears entire input instead of single line
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Apr 17, 2026 by TedYav Closed Apr 17, 2026
Bug Description
Claude Code has a regression in how it handles text. Previously, if I hit cmd+delete it would delete only one line.
Now it clears the entire text input irrecoverably, which has caused me to lose multiple messages and retype from scratch.
(I realize that the old way of clearing one line at a time was really annoying if you wanted to go back for a long message -- but you've always been able to hit esc + esc to clear the text input, and now my muscle memory is working against me!)
